Get ready for Halloween, it's pumpkin week! We will be doing pumpkin experiments all week, and doing lots of spooky activities. Here is one of the poems we have been acting out. You can recite it with your student at home!

- I am originally from Alexandria, Virginia (right outside Washington, D.C.). I received my B.S. in Anthropology with minors in Women's Studies and International Humanitarian Assistance from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. That's why I am a Gator through and through! I packed my bags and left the Sunshine State to experience the GREAT state of Texas and absolutely love the people, food, and culture here. I am with Teach for America (http://www.teachforamerica.org/) and wholeheartedly believe that "One day, all children in this nation will have the opportunity to attain an excellent education."
